Himalaya from Plaster of Paris (PoP) in Ganesh Festival 2013

It’s very easy to create Mountain from Plaster of Paris material. All required material is easily available in market and it will not cost you much. It looks beautiful and you can decorate as per your creative ideas.

Material required:
1 or 2 packet of Plaster of Paris (POP), White color cloth, wooden or metal sticks (not of same height), plastic container with soil, Waste Thermocol, Some waste newspaper, Bucket, Water, Plastic/Newpaper to cover wall.

Steps:
1. Fill sand/Soil in plastic container and insert wooden rod in it.

2. Please on table in such a way that it will form a shape like mountain

3. Keep some Thermocol and waste newspaper in between sticks. It will help cloth to take a shape like mountain

4. Now take a bucket with some water. Put 1 packet of POP in it and mix it properly. Take White color cloth and dip inside bucket containing POP mixed in water.

5. Now place wet cloth over wooden stick in such a way that it will form mountain shape. Now apply some POP with water on cloth.

6. Apply some finishing touch and decorate as per your idea.

  3. Hi Prits, Supposing I want to do a waterfall with the mountain ?? Would you suggest some plastic sheet or will POP mixture withstand the water??
